Masterflex at Powtech in Nuremberg

Masterflex at Powtech 2016!

From 19 - 21 April you will be able to visit us at our fair stand (156) in Hall 1 in Nuremberg and discover the advantages of our latest connection and tubing systems when it comes to the conveyance of powders, granulates and loose materials.

"On the three days of the fair, we will be showing our visitors our hose and connection solutions that are ideal for dealing with powders, granulates and other loose materials," says Christian Horstkötter, Sales Director Spiral Hoses at Masterflex. "And they are suitable for use in almost all industrial sectors."

This year's highlights among the Masterflex range are the new FOOD-A hoses, part of its existing FOOD series. These antistatic hoses conform to the recent stipulations for foodstuff-compatibility specified in Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011. This EU regulation introduced in January will be the single seminal standard that will apply throughout the foodstuff industry.

All the hoses of the Masterflex FOOD series may be used to transport foodstuffs - from potato starch, sugar to deep-frozen products and even powder for baby milk formulas. "We can thus provide our customers not only with the high quality that they have come to expect from us, but also with the best possible compliance with legal requirements," stresses Horstkötter.

Not only the materials used for the products in the series but also all aspects of the hoses, including the FOOD connector systems, have been fully tested for compliance. "Unlike our competitors, we are able to supply test reports for the whole of our Master-PUR FOOD series hose systems - in other words, for the complete products, including connectors," adds Horstkötter.

Connectors are constructed so that that they correspond exactly to the internal diameter of hoses. Thanks to the optimised profile of the hoses, very little residue of the transported material is retained, making hoses much easier to clean. There is also significantly less internal turbulence, meaning that less energy is required to convey the materials.
