2003

Masterflex AG gets the permission to the new German Stock Exchange segment Prime Standard.

 

The first fuel cell is put into operation.

Masterflex wins a contract from AIRBUS Deutschland GmbH for the development and construction of a fuel cell system.

Masterflex acquires the established Hamburg-based company Matzen & Timm GmbH supplying among other things highly specialized products such as hoses and molded parts for the international aerospace industry. 

Masterflex AG receives the Oskar für den Mittelstand ("SME Oscar"), a prize awarded to exceptionally innovative small and medium-sized companies since 1995. The prize was awarded nationally for the first time in 2003.


2004

Masterflex presents the prototype of an e-bike with fuel cells on Hannover Fair. NRW-minister Axel Horstmann rides the bike having a range of up to 120 km.

 

Masterflex increases the free float and thus broadening the number of investors,

Masterflex' subsidiary Angiokard Medizintechnik GmbH & Co. KG takes over Fleima Plastic GmbH, Mörlenbach.

Masterflex AG is readmitted to the SDAX. 

The Supervisory Board of Masterflex AG appointed Mr. Ulrich Wantia to the Executive Board as CFO on December 10, 2004.


2005

 Masterflex AG presents on Hannover fair the modular designed transportation vehicle "Cargobike" with an innovative hydrogen based fuel cell propulsion unit. Apart from the driving power, additional power can be supplied for vehicle lighting or for cooling transported goods. The range of application is 250 km.

 

Masterflex AG buys SURPRO group, one of the leading companies of precious metal coating

Masterflex AG supplys the world's first fleet of bicycles with fuel cell propulsion systems to the german city of Herten.

 


2006

Masterflex AG will supply fuel cell cargobikes (lightweight vehicles) as part of the EU HyChain Minitrans project. The agreement was signed in the presence of EU Commission representatives in Brussels. The trans-regional project presents innovative and sustainable alternatives to the heavily oil-dependant transportation market.

English subsidiary, Masterflex Technical Hoses Ltd., celebrates its tenth anniversary.

 

 The world’s first Cargobikes are used by T-Com during the World Cup in Germany.

 

 The subsidiary Matzen & Timm GmbH expands its production capacity and relocates its headquarters from Hamburg to Norderstedt.

Masterflex Brennstoffzellentechnik GmbH acquires a 67 percent holding in PERM Motor GmbH, Breisach. PERM supplies a key product for the technical actuation of the Cargobike. 

The subsidiary Novoplast Schlauchtechnik GmbH launches a new standard programme for microbe-resistant and hydrolysis-resistant PUR pneumatic hoses and thermo-fixed hoses. The latter are used, for example, in textile machines.

 

 Masterflex presents the Hercules of hoses in the form of its Master PUR Inline Hose: thanks to its reinforced inner layer, this has better abrasion behaviour and higher levels of pressure resistance than any other elastomer hose.

 

 Masterflex AG is the first and only manufacturer to offer a certified all-in hose system for conveying liquid foodstuffs.


2007

Novoplast Schlauchtechnik becomes a member MIMEG, a medical technology network: www.mimeg.de

The DICOTA Group successfully presents its product range at the Computex in Taipei.

Largest order in the Company’s history of 14,000 bicycles with electric drive systems 

Establishment of a completely new production line for high-temperature hoses in the USA

DICOTA GmbH acquires 70% of the shares of DICOTA AG, Freienbach, Switzerland.

TechnoBochum GmbH is named as a supplier for the largest tunnel project in Germany, the expansion and reconstruction of the Karlsruhe-Basle rail line

Hose production is relocated from Bulgaria to the Czech Republic


2008

 Deutsche Telekom tests 14 Cargobikes from Masterflex in Berlin.

 Move at the top of Masterflex AG: The Masterflex AG Supervisory Board unanimously appoints Dr. Andreas Bastin as new CEO with effect from 1 April 2008. This is the first step towards the new strategic orientation with focus on the core business.

Masterflex increases its production capabilities. Master-Clip hoses are available now in diameters up to DN 2000 (formerly up to DN 900)

Former CEO Detlef Herzog is elected to the Supervisory Board.

Subsidiary Novoplast Schlauchtechnik GmbH inaugurates a new production hall of 2,000 m2 

The Executive Board charges value impairment of € 8.1 million.

2009

Masterflex Brennstoffzellentechnik GmbH and digomed: medical IT solutions GmbH agree to cooperate on marketing fuel cells.

 Masterflex AG offers novel cost-saving clamping connecting systems that are compatible with standard connectors. Customers may continue using their existing systems. 

 The Supervisory Board of Masterflex AG has appointed Mark Becks as its new Chief Financial Officer as of June 1, 2009.

Masterflex AG produces the hose type “Master-TPA” which is made from 30 percent of renewable resources and combines many features previously only found in a few, very special materials. 

Masterflex AG sells subsidiary Angiokard Medizintechnik GmbH & Co. KG.

 

 Masterflex AG launches a new antistatic hose series that complies with TRBS (Technical Rule for Operational Safety) 2153 and contains non-migrating permanent antistatic agents.


2010

 With the product series fun-flexx® Masterflex offers professional dog tunnels for training (agility), play and fun and also tunnels for ferrets. 

Sale of SURPRO GmbH

Novoplast Schlauchtechnik GmbH celebrates 20th anniversary.

The AGM decides for a capital increases. Performance of capital increase is finalized in December. 

Masterflex AG continues international growth and starts with new subsidiaries in Brazil and Russia. The internalization process goes on. 

Masterflex decides to sell the Mobility group, the last remaining non-core business activity of the Masterflex Group

 Masterflex extends its product range with the electrical conductive hose type Master-Clip VITON® EL. 

 Promising launch of the innovative heated hose system templine. The innovative technology is superior to existing solutions due to its high energy efficiency with savings of up to 30% and even heat distribution.
